Homework. We regard homework as a crucial part of the school's curriculum. It is an integral part of the work carried out in school and also an opportunity to develop independent learning and further a particular interest or enthusiasm. Perhaps the greatest benefit to be gained from homework is the ability to work alone with the minimum of guidance.

Homework can be completed within school, for example, in the Study Centre when tasks require books, software or equipment not found readily at home. Homework enhances pupil learning, improves achievement and develops pupils’ study skills and as such is an integral part of the curriculum.

Homework Stroud High is committed to homework to support and enrich classwork and promote independent learning. Homework can now be accessed via the Class Charts app and website. Students and parents will be able to view, online, the homeworks set and when they are due in.

Homework. Home Learning tasks allow our students to develop and become more independent and effective learners. In Key Stage 3 all students are given a copy of the home learning timetable, a link to these can be found at the bottom of this page. Every week different subjects will set an extended independent learning task.

Independent study is any work or activity that you are expected to do outside lesson time, either during the school day or at home. The Library (with ICT facilities) is available for you to do independent study at lunchtimes and there is a homework club with teacher support each day.
